not sure why this happens, seems to work fine for me. Perhaps some end of line chars that get mangled... In any case, try and modify the file by hand.

As a side note: you do realize that this will break the emailed dashboards if they contain charts, right? as these chars are generated dynamically in the browser. I had some (limited) success in generating the charts server side using phantom.js, but it's not very solid. Or you could imagine using the original method (GD) only for emails.
